Situated in the beautiful Edwardian home of owner/curator Sarah Collier, Silson Contemporary is a leading contemporary art gallery in Harrogate.
Following a long career as a Radiographer, in the UK and Canada, Sarah followed her heart and studied Art History, graduating with First Class BA (Hons) in 2014 and opening Silson Contemporary in October, 2016.
Silson Contemporary has established a reputation for showing truly original and beautiful paintings, ceramics and sculpture by emerging and more established artists from across the UK and overseas. With an interest in both abstract and figurative work, Sarah is very proud of her reputation for having a ‘great eye’, and ability to curate much admired shows, bringing artists, artworks and buyers together.

Set within a stylish Edwardian home, Silson Contemporary comprises several gallery spaces spread over three floors. The ground floor spaces are generally dedicated to exhibitions, whilst the rest of the gallery space showcases the work of all gallery artists, ensuring visitors will find something they love.
We understand how showing art within the intimacy of an actual home inspires and encourages visitors to envisage artwork in their own.
Silson Contemporary is ideally situated within 5 minutes walking distance of the independent and vibrant businesses on Cold Bath Road, and only 20 minutes from Harrogate town centre.
