Michael Bishop (b. 1957) studied Foundation Art at West Surrey College of Art & Design and then graduated with BA (Hons) Graphic Design and Illustration from Brighton Art College in 1980.
He paints mainly dreamlike landscapes, urban landscapes and seascapes, where ‘realism meets imagination’.
His work was used for the London Tube poster ‘Downtown to Soho’, and on magazine covers including ‘Science’, as well as being featured in ‘Vogue’, The Observer’ and ‘The Times’. Whilst living in New York in the 1990s, he also provided illustration for Frances Hodsgon Burnett’s ‘The Secret Garden’ for publishers Hugh Later Levin.
Michael works from his studio in Worthing in the South of England and has worked and exhibited in London, New York and across the South of England. His paintings are in many collections worldwide. We are delighted to have this opportunity to show his magical work.
